Men’s Scarves one of Fall 2012’s Favorite Accessories

Someone please tell me why more men don’t take advantage of automatic sex appeal? Scarves are like dress shirts – every man can look good in one. So why don’t y’all wear them more often? Even if you live somewhere like Texas, there will be at least one opportunity for you to wear one during the year! European men wear them on a regular basis, but American men, not so much. And I say that as someone who grew up in a part of the US that saw at least 12 school snow days each year. The fact is, scarves make you look good. In fact, the right scarf can make the average man twice as hot. Seriously, you know I wouldn’t lie to you! The trick is wearing the right kind scarf – cos they don’t all have sex-appeal factor.

Scarf Savvy
  • Size Matters.
Long is good – if it’s too short you won’t be able to wrap it, and that’s where most of the sex appeal comes from. You want something you can wrap 2 or 3 times, and still have the ends able to reach somewhere close to tie-length.
  • Thickness Matters.
Get something with a bit of bulk, you don’t want something that looks like a roll of toilet paper. Mind, you don’t want to look like you’re wearing a neck brace, either, so don’t overdo it.
  • Stripes and plaid work best.
Men look fantastic in a plain colored jacket, paired with a patterned scarf like those pictured here. Tartans look pretty good on most men, and stripes are practically guaranteed to look fantastic.
  • Colors are sexy.
A colorful scarf can really be charming. That said, you don’t need to have every color in the rainbow represented. Pick something with 2 or 3 colors, or 1 color with several shades. These tend to go with any kind of jacket you might have.
  • Knots are sexiest.
Don’t ask me why, but the way a man ties his knot can really affect the overall look. Generally, a loose, fat knot just under the chin looks best. Alternatively, a firm knot that’s been wound several times can also look good, and can be worn at the chin or a bit further down.
  • Proper placement.
If you’re wearing a jacket with lapels, a draped scarf should go under the lapels. If you’ve tied the scarf, they tend to look best tucked into the jacket, with a nice fat knot resting under the chin. If your scarf is a bit short, these look best tucked in, as well.

                                                                 A little over-the-top!

Things to avoid
  • Paisley looks a bit silly on most men, I recommend avoiding it.
  • Extra long tassles look a bit frou-frou. I recommend they not be longer than the width of your palm.
  • Super-loose-knit scarves fall apart pretty easily – if you’re a man who knows how to care for these, go for it – if not, don’t waste your money.
  • White doesn’t stay white for long without careful attention – I’d avoid these.
  • Super-long scarves make us think you’re overcompensating… long is good enough, I promise!

Get Ready to Cuddle up

What's on the runways for 2012/2013 Fall/Winter - classy, classic, and sexy - did I mention a bit manly...
With fall and winter coming, perhaps your wardrobe needs a bit of updating? Well, here are a few  fall and winter fashion trends that you may want to consider purchasing.
Sexy, classy, and classic are the features to look for when buying clothes for this fall and winter...
The colors on the runway for the fall/winter season of 2012/2013 are to put it in a nut shell - a bit bland. However, designers did a smashing job at making otherwise bland colors pop.... All the classic fall/winter colors such as brown, black, taupe, winter white, and many shades of gray, as well as dark rich blues seem to be prevalent in an abundance at New York's Fashion Week runways. Not to say that some designers didn't use brighter colors, because they did. However, it did appear the brighter colors were played down for the upcoming fall season….For all you gals that love the color black, don't worry the designers have taken care of you... The designers have used the color black in many fashion looks. However, for the Fall/Winter of 2012/2013 you will see your favorite color black mixed up with dark gray, stark white, as well as lots of shades of dark mid-night blue.
Winter white as always holds it place this year in fashion. The designers have used winter white alone, to make a soft statement. However, they also mix it up! Just by adding white to soft creams and bold color, to make a fashion splash this season.
Take a look at some of my winter must haves for the 2011/2012 winter season. I Love winter clothinghttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png and have fallen in love with a few certain pieces this year. Winter clothes are so cozy & comfy but stylish at the same time, you really cannot beat that combo! I love adding a cute hat or scarf to a cozy knit sweater or add a cute pair of boots to dress up an outfit.

This is so easy to do; all you need are a few great pieces to make your outfit
go from average to fabulous!! Take a look at a few of our favorites; they make for great Christmas gifts for yourself or for other
1. A Cozy Knit Sweater
Who would not want one of these over sized, cozy knit sweaters! I want 100 in every color; they are so comfy & so in style right now. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! You can find these at any clothing store right now, but Amazon has some great ideas!

2. An Awesome Scarf
I Love these! Right now you can get them anywhere and in every color. They are so stylish and so warm & cozy. Wear them with a sweater, a jacket, a shirt, whatever you wish! They look great on everyone and with everything, and they easily spice up a simple outfit. Definitely a winter must have this year!
3. A Great Pair of Boots
Need I say more? I love having a great pair of boots to go with my winter outfit. Winter is my favorite style season due to the simple fact that I get to wear boots. They make an outfit and they are comfortable! I always have a dressy pair & a pair I can just throw on that is a bit cozier. Every girl needs some boots in her wardrobe
4. Boot Socks (leggings)
I love this new trend. Spice up your boots a little more by adding knee high socks that just slightly peek out! Boot Socks are inexpensive & easy accessories to add to any outfit. Great for a gift or stocking stuffer as well!
5. A Slouchy Hat
I Love Slouchy hats!!! You can find them anywhere right now, trust me, I have to strain myself from buying 100. Another great winter trend, and also a great gift idea!

No need explanations here, it is the widely known oversized.
I totally love oversized sweaters combined with skinny jeans (like it was your favorite sweater). This season cropped pants are so IN so why dont you make a try?
PS: a big big scarf would be AMAZING!

Our Cherry Pickin' Adventures In Wallets

I’ve said my goodbyes to summer — watched it roll off into the distance with piles of flip-flops and sun dresses in the wind, while I waved an obligatory wave. Of course I’ll miss the warm weather and I’ll welcome it back eagerly, but I’m ready. I’m ready for the boots and sweaters and cozy, cozy clothes.
The latest fall 2012 fashion trends are off the runway and ready to make a statement in the world. Fall is a wonderful time to find a style that matches both your personality and the trends of the day. This year’s themes are all about soft with a touch of vintage. However, colors are bright and vibrant, which brightens even the gloomiest of days. The emphasis for 2012 is on fun and comfort with a twist.
This fall, it’s all about making a statement. While summer is still in full force with its vibrant neon colors, the cooler weather will bring with it, toned down colors, but also strong contrast. It’s time to get back to your proverbial “roots” with African, Native American and other bohemian prints. Bring out your wild side with exotic animal print clothing and accents. Jumpsuits will be a great way to stay comfortable, with one versatile piece of clothing that can easily be transformed from day to evening wear.

Animal prints, stay popular year round and can add dramatic flair to your outfit. There are many animal print styles that you could incorporate into your wardrobe, such as leopard, cow, snake, zebra, and tiger. Snake and Leopard and Zebra print pieces will be especially big this fall. Animal printed clothing is great for an exotic appearance, while also looking elegant and chic.
So…………….. with a new season comes new trends — and there are several “it” handbags/wallets of the season.
Here are the hottest Fall 2012 handbags and their budget twins under $55:
