Oversize Rules on the Cruise 2013 Catwalks

Oversize Rules on the Cruise 2013 Catwalks

So the 2103 shows have been in full effect and we’ve kept a beady eye on the jewellery looks that are coming our way. In particular, we love the emergence of arm candy as one-to-watch with bangles, cuffs, bead bracelets and stacks all putting in an appearance.
If, like us, you can’t wait a whole year to get stuck into this mood, here’s our cheat’s guide to staying ahead of next year’s top trends.

POWER GRID
Adorn yourself with jewels inspired by architectural elements. Inject an urban edge into your jewellery wardrobe this season with metallic mesh patterns and grid-like silhouettes.
Key Style Notes
Open wirework
Layering
Repetition
Geometric patterns

ROCK CHIC
It’s rough and raw, this season texture and surface interest are key. Embrace the natural landscape of hidden treasure and celebrate the earth’s bounty from below the crust.
Key Style Notes
Uncut stones
Semi-precious rocks
Oversize elements
Statement jewels

PROM QUEEN
Embrace the charm and celebration associated with proms and 1950s- inspired femininity where girl-next-door charm meets vintage nostalgia with a sneaky glance across to kitsch.
Key Style Notes
Vintage pearls

CYBER STREET
Techno princess meets urban warrior in a look that oozes sexy sass. Embrace color and clash up those patterns. More-is-more gives you license to layer your jewels. Shrinking violets need not apply.
Key Style Notes
Oversized hoops
Slogan pendants
Iridescent finishes
Chunky chains

Bow motifs
Sweetheart jewels

SURFACE APPEAL
This season sees surface embellishment adorn clothes on a grand scale. Palettes, embroidery, crystal beadwork and lace abound, creating texture-rich surfaces that capture the imagination and beg to be touched.
 Key Style Notes
Intricate beadwork
Paste and crystal
Cabochon stones
Mixed media

SHEET METAL
A counterpoint to the season’s more fanciful trends, this is an opportunity to enjoy minimalism’s new mood. Silhouette and detail are kept simple; the focus is on oversized jewellery which celebrates the beauty of precious metal.
 Key Style Notes
Flat planes
Geometric silhouettes
Supersized jewellery
Pale metal

Belts of the season fall/winter 2012-2013

Belts of the season fall/winter 2012-2013

Belts are trendy and relevant accessories. In a new season to be in vogue you should wear it not only with dresses, skirts and trousers, but also with jackets, coats, tunics and fur coats. In women’s belts collections of the season everybody can find a variety of textiles, forms and original facings.

Narrow belts are still in vogue, but wide ones become again the leading trend of the season. Large details, rigid form and metal buckles are relevant for them.

Metallic elements in the facing of belts are present in many designer collections and demonstrate a variety of shapes and styles: on the one hand - elegant and womanly chains with ornaments, on the other - absolutely smooth and strict belts of various width.

Belts made of suede, fabric or even fur are the latest trend, thus the coloring can be of any bright color.
Long belts meaning a double turn round a waist or hips move to a new autumn and winter season 2012-2013.

The same concerns also belts-corsets. They again focus an attention to the waist, becoming a fashionable trend of the season. The tendency to concentrate attention not only on waist, but also on hips is noticeable among these models: the new is slightly forgotten old.

Original form of women’s belts is in fashion. Asymmetry, geometrical lines and any non-standard decisions are relevant.

Contrary to absolutely smooth women's belts many models demonstrate a bright facing with beads, metal studs and crystals. Accessories in the shape of bows, ties, decorative hinges and original buckles do not lose its relevance.

Snuggle Up For Winter

Snuggle Up For Winter
There is nothing more divine than wearing a long soft knit sweater former over your best fitting and most comfortable pair of jeans. From cardigans to v-necks the best sweaters are ones that will wash and wear well every time you do it on. Unlit, white, gray and cream are the best color choices and will work as key pieces in your wardrobe because the neutral color plot is extremely versatile and complimentary.
Wear a long soft knit sweater over a pair of leggings, jeans or trousers. Add a pair of chic lace up ankle boots, vintage styled gemstone jewelry and a slouchy hobo handbag to complete the look.
This winter the top four fashion trends for women include military styles, courageous graphic prints, chic tuxedo jackets and long soft knit sweaters. Invest in one or two key pieces that blend well with your wardrobe. Neutral color schemes are often the best plot to incorporate the latest fashion trends into your unique style.
As I always annotate the fact that fashion lovers usually adore winter in-spite of summer season.
